The
project shown is the 3-storey Union Bank of California building in
downtown Sacramento. The
unfilled travertine exterior was very dirty from years of
environmental exposure, and also had a number of cracked or
damaged panels and panels which had come loose from their
anchoring systems. California
Stone Care partnered with Natural Stone Design of Sacramento, a
leading stone fabrication and installation company to repair and
replace the loose and damaged panels.
Research determined that matching material was unavailable
on the market, and the original source was identified and new
stone was quarried and fabricated.
California
Stone Care cleaned the building exterior completely using a
marble-cleaning product manufactured by Prosoco, Inc. of Kansas
City, Mo., and pressure washing equipment.
A sealant was then applied to protect the surface from
moisture penetration and to facilitate future cleaning. |
