| The
project shown is the Merchants’ National Bank in downtown
Sacramento, built in 1921.
The gray marble floors with black accents were very worn
and dull, with no shine whatsoever.
The wear on the floor was (and is) dramatized by small
depressions in front of each teller station due to the decades
of extra wear in those spots. |

Stone Care first diamond hone the floor at 50, 100, 200 and 400
grits, then polished and sealed the floor using a solvent-based
impregnating sealer. The
result is a spectacular, mirror finish, shown clearly by the
reflection of the customers and the ceiling lights shown in the
accompanying photographs. |
